  3. Our Planning Fee Structure:                                Every exceptional journey begins with thoughtful planning. At Suncooked Luxury Travel, we charge a non-refundable planning fee to initiate the custom design process and ensure a personalized, detail-rich experience from start to finish. This fee reflects the time, expertise, and dedicated care that go into tailoring each itinerary. Planning fees vary based on the scope of your trip—including factors like destination, length of stay, complexity, and group size. This investment establishes a mutual commitment between you and Suncooked Luxury Travel, allowing us to focus fully on creating a seamless and unforgettable travel experience aligned with your vision.

What about the commissions travel advisors earn?   Travel advisors often earn a portion of their income through commissions paid by trusted travel partners, such as hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators. These commissions are built into the pricing and do not increase the cost of your trip—in fact, working with an advisor can often provide added value, such as room upgrades, exclusive amenities, or special experiences not available to the general public. While commissions help support the work we do behind the scenes, our primary focus is always on creating the best possible travel experience tailored to your needs and preferences.
  5. Should I get travel insurance?             Comprehensive travel protection is an essential part of any well-planned trip—even if your credit card offers some level of coverage. While credit card benefits can be helpful, they often come with limitations and exclusions that may not fully protect you in unexpected situations like trip cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, or delays. A dedicated travel insurance policy offers more robust and customizable coverage, giving you peace of mind before and during your travels. From emergency medical care to lost luggage or last-minute changes, comprehensive protection ensures you’re covered when it matters most, allowing you to focus on enjoying your journey without worry.  
  6. Assistance with flights.
     While I don’t typically book flights as part of my standard services, I understand that some travelers prefer a fully hands-off approach. I’m happy to assist with flight arrangements when needed; however, please note that airlines do not pay commissions to travel advisors, so a nominal service fee is applied for this added support. This fee covers the time and expertise involved in reviewing flight options, layovers, airport logistics, and connection times to ensure your journey flows seamlessly from start to finish.

     Yes, one of the key benefits of working with a travel advisor is having someone available to assist you with any unexpected issues or emergencies during your trip, such as flight cancellations or changes to your itinerary.

Air Travel Support

Our air travel support offers peace of mind from takeoff to landing. When we handle your flights, we monitor schedules, provide updates, and remain available for emergency assistance while you're en route. You’ll receive flight notifications and itinerary access through our mobile app, keeping everything at your fingertips. If you prefer to book your own airfare, that’s perfectly fine—our planning services can still support the rest of your journey seamlessly.

Domestic Air – Starting at $75

Includes professional flight booking, schedule monitoring, and support for U.S. travel.

International Air – Starting at $150

Includes expert assistance with complex itineraries, international regulations, and in-transit support.


Please Note: If you’d like to earn loyalty points or frequent flyer miles, simply share your membership numbers with your advisor at the time of booking.
